This recipe is so simple, we shouldn't even really call it a recipe really! All you need is cashew nuts and water to get the most delicious, creamiest plant-based milk. And once you've made the milk you can use the leftover pulp to make a yummy spreadable pâté - zero waste!
- 1 cup of cashew nuts
- 3 cups of water
48 hours to soak the cashews but you don't have to do anything in that time!
2 minutes to blend
30 seconds to strain
Soak the cashew nuts for 48th hours. Strain and put the cashews in a blender, add three cups of fresh water and blend. When the mixture is creamy and lump-free, drain using a nut bag, muslin or tea towel. Give it a good squeeze and voilà! your milk is ready to drink.
