Carluccio's, the much-loved Italian restaurant that is such a regular fixture of our high streets will be launching a vegetarian and vegan pop up in their Covent Garden restaurant later this month in collaboration with food blogger and writer, Anna Barnett. Dubbed 'Cucina Verde' (green cuisine) the pop up will run for four consecutive Mondays from October 23 to tie in with the Meat Free Monday campaign and will be presenting a menu of 20 vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Carluccio's aim is to celebrate the varied and delicious use of vegetables in Italian cuisine and to respond to the increasing number of requests for vegetarian and vegan meals. We can look forward to vegan dishes like roasted cauliflower & kale Puglian pasta, roasted butternut squash with vegetables and pine nuts as well as crostini al funghi which are on the new dairy free menu as well as a large selection of new dishes.
We're looking forward to eating our way through the menu and hope that the pop up is such a raging success that it becomes a permanent fixture and even more vegan options find their way on to the regular Carluccio's menu!
